  • August 2, 2019: The 38th annual Draper Mile. | Event page.

  • August 24, 2019 (8:00 p.m.): Race for the Fallen Glow Run 5K and 1 mile race (Lynchburg, VA)). Enjoy a waterfront run as the course travels along the Riverwalk Trail and Percival's Island Natural Area on Concord Turnpike. The race will start at the Percival's Island Trail entrance off Concord Turnpike. The Race for the Fallen Glow Run is a night-time family-fun race for participants of all ages & speeds!   • August 31, 2019 (9:45 a.m.): 2nd annual Triwizard Tri-Mile Trail Race 5K (Bisset Park, Radford, VA). Calling on all Wizards and Muggles to walk, run or fly with us. Enjoy running through the magical world of Bisset Park and participating in our Potions and Magical Creatures classes, house competition and costume contest! | Information and Online registration.

  • September 20, 2019 (11 a.m.): 6th Annual Marcus Ford 5K Run/Walk Celebration (Huckleberry Trail behind the New River Valley Mall). | Race information and online registration link.

    Marcus Ford graduated from Christiansburg High School in 2007 and from James Madison University in 2011. He accepted a job in his senior year in college with Grant Thornton as a consultant in Alexandria, VA. Sadly, Marcus and his family found out while he was a junior in college that he had a hereditary heart disease called CPVT. Marcus passed away on March 17, 2012 in Arlington, VA, from this disease. Monies raised from the Marcus Ford Annual Run/Walk SKs will go to his memorial scholarship, The Marcus Allen Ford Memorial Scholarship, given each Spring at Christiansburg High School to a graduating senior who exenplifies the person that Marcus was to everyone he met. | Marcus Ford Web site.

  • October 6, 2019 (Sunday, 9:30 a.m.): Join us for the 4th annual Finish the Fight 5K (Christiansburg, VA). This 5K is ran on the Huckleberry Trail and starts at the Christiansburg Recreation Center. All proceeds go to two local women fighting cancer. | Web site.

  • October 12, 2019 (11:00 a.m.): Brave Heart 5K (Bisset Park, Radford, VA). Fun Run at 9:30 a.m. Proceeds benefit the American Heart Association. | Information and Online registration.

  • June 15, 2019 (8:30 p.m.): Eleventh Annual Downtown Sundown 5K (Blacksburg, VA). Run the streets and trails of Blacksburg at sunset! The Downtown Sundown 5K starts and finishes on Draper Road in the heart of the Summer Solstice Street Festival featuring crafts, live music, food, drink, and more. All runners must wear reflective clothing and carry a glow- stick (free to the first 300 runners) or LED light. | Results

  • May 11, 2019 (9:00 a.m.): Huckleberry Jam (Blacksburg, VA). The Huckleberry Jam is a 7.78-mile point-to-point race beginning on the Trail at the corner of Airport Rd. and Country Club Rd (Blacksburg) and finishing at the Christiansburg Rec Center. | Results

  • December 24, 2018 (Monday, 1:00 p.m.): Frosty 5k & mile fun run plus Free Fun Run (at 12:30). The race starts and finishes on the soccer field behind the Food Lion on North Main Street in Blacksburg, VA, with the ma- jority of the race run on roads and paved bike paths. Web site | Results

  • November 22, 2018 (Thursday): The Blacksburg Turkey Trot (8:30 a.m.) and The Gobble Gobble Kids Dash (8:00 a.m.) in downtown Blacksburg, VA. The (first annual) Blacksburg Turkey Trot is the perfect mix of fun and fitness on Thanksgiving morning. The 5k course is designed with all skill levels of walkers and runners in mind!   • October 27, 2018 : Brush Mountain Breakdown. The 12 miler, 7 miler, and 5K fun run (11:30 AM) are all on trails inside Pandapas Park, which is part of the Jefferson National Forest. Each race takes place on trails within the Pandapas Pond system featuring challenging, hilly terrain and creek crossings | Results.

  • October 13, 2018 (9:00 a.m.): Parrot Strut 5K (Warm Hearth Village, Blacksburg, VA). There is also a 1-mile run at 9:45, in which dogs are allowed. 100% of the proceeds from the race benefit the Neighbors in Need fund, which benefits low-income seniors living on Warm Hearth's campus who need assistance with housing and healthcare. | Course Map | Results.
